The International Youth Performing Arts Festival (YPA) is a Theatre International, Inc. initiative that provides the New York and international community with quality arts programming, training, arts-in-education workshops and professional talent development and showcase for young people between the ages of 14 and 23.

 

Through YPA, Theatre International will provide young people on a national and international scale with the following services:

 

• One week performing arts festival in New York.

• Arts workshop featuring dance, poetry drama, music, musical theatre, fine arts and film.

• Workshops with established performing artists from various genres

• Professional development training in arts-in-education and professional showbiz.

 

The goal of the YPA initiative is to serve to bring together and educate youth globally through the arts, to foster tolerance and create lasting relationships among young people across nations, cultures, races and ethnicities.  Skills developed, honed and displayed will help young people to maximize their talents to leverage opportunities for growth and employment on the professional performing platform.
